Paula Simonds, Executive Director Desert Cancer Foundation
Life events can be used to help or hinder those around you. Karen uses her gift of caring, compassion and commitment to inspire others to make the most of overcoming what the unforeseen can bring. Her story is one of inspiration and is shared with true passion and purpose; all to help those around her. Life can be messy, challenging and unplanned, but Karen is able to put in perspective the avenues to rise above and face the journey one may be facing in a genuine, heartfelt message that any one person can relate too. I have been fortunate to witness the impact Karen’s message of hope has had on those in the midst of unexpected life events and whole heartedly would recommend her to be a relevant and valuable speaker at your upcoming event.
Karen was the keynote speaker for the annual celebration of our organization of professional women educators. Her talk was wonderful and it was evident that despite health challenges that could overwhelm anyone, she has ultimately succeeded with the healthy lifestyle she recommends. Her presentation style is relaxed and funny, but she is serious about the message she spreads about health and wellness. I’ll never look at a bag of taco chips the same again…

Karen spoke at our annual kick-off event and the attendees were captivated from the start by her positive, exuberant, energetic, presentation. The interaction with the participants was such a unique way to practice ideas and strategies that they could take with them in order to improve their programs’ immediately. It was both useful and an inspirational session. We would welcome her again. Brilliant!

Recently we were honored with a visit from Karen and she not only delivered her presentation on healthy living in a most entertaining and engaging way, but she truly “raised the bar” in terms of effective, meaningful communications. Karen was knowledgeable and convincing without being chastising or condescending in any way. We will remember Karen’s visit with affection and are pleased to recommend her as a speaker wholeheartedly and unconditionally!

Sometimes what people need to make profound changes is a gentle nudge and Karen was just that. She inspired us, not just through her words, but because her words come from her personal story. Her presentation was complete with passion, energy and real genuine connection with the audience. Karen as well was great to work with. She certainly contributed to the success of the event! Thanks Karen for going out there and making a difference!

Karen is a dynamic motivational speaker. I wholeheartedly endorse her. Karen is an upbeat, well-educated woman, who is able to use her life experiences in encouraging others to live to their full potential. Karen is very knowledgeable and well trained in issues dealing in health and wellness, drawing from her own walk with cancer , as well faith issues. She is caring, concerned and so very approachable. If you choose her as a speaker for an event you will not be disappointed. She is well worth hearing, and experiencing.

Life may throw obstacles at us that can either hinder us, or make us realize our true potential, and Karen’s positive approach to life and its challenges are in a word – inspiring! Her infectious upbeat attitude despite setbacks is what makes Karen is such an inspiring and motivating example to us all!

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Karen Creasey as my trainer. She coached me with patience, taught me a progression of therapeutic exercises, and provided just the right amount of encouragement. If a video existed of my first session working with Karen, playing into my final session several months later, you would see beyond words the difference in my balance, strength, and attitude. She coached by deconstructing my situation down to the basics, literally asking me to consciously walk in the shallow part of the pool to become aware of my muscles. Her attention to the details of my balance challenges, my weaknesses, and my personality gave her the information she needed to create a progressive plan. Built into that plan was a tolerance for weaker days, a flexibility to change exercises as needed, and a plan for pushing into stronger days. Step by step I took on more difficult tasks. Walking heel to toe while standing straight instead of bent over, taught me confidence. My posture changed over time, leaving behind the defensive fear of falling posture I had adopted. She worked with me to develop a much needed cardio workout, one that took the pressure off of my hip and back and allowed me freedom of movement. Her coaching is beyond a list of exercises to accomplish. Karen gave me constructive corrections as she was able to notice when my foot would go out of position or my posture would go into an old habit. If I did not understand her suggestion, or could not feel the exercise, she could always find a way to communicate what I needed to do in a supportive manner. Many days were physically challenging yet her style of interaction made the work fun, and I am grateful for that, too. Instead of an early retirement to the desert, I am back to hiking and enjoying activities in the Rockies. Thank you, Karen.
